ŚĀRṄGA Foundation
Project: BE.THEMAN | 2026 Cohort
Build the Foundation Before We Build the Future.
Crimes against women are not confined to one class, one city, or one level of education. Degrees have increased, and awareness campaigns have multiplied, yet the core problem remains largely untouched. The uncomfortable truth is that a safer society for women cannot be created by only punishing men at 25 — it must be shaped in children at 10.
The ŚĀRṄGA Foundation (Project BE.THEMAN) is not just another awareness-driven initiative. We do not aim to merely "reduce" crimes or "react" after incidents. We are a preventive, early-intervention model working to eliminate the root cause of patriarchal conditioning. We focus heavily on children aged 10–16, equipping parents and teachers with tools to shape attitudes before they solidify through interactive workshops, mentorship, skits, and psychological guidance.
We believe in absolute transparency. We are currently an unregistered, grassroots initiative. We are actively in the foundation stage, and aim to establishing the framework to formally register and incorporate as a Section 8 Non-Profit Company under the Companies Act, 2013 (can differ final form of organisation based on legal requirements and suitability to our case). Until that registration is complete, we operate as a dedicated collective working towards a pilot execution without any financial operation.
Unpaid Position: All roles are strictly unpaid volunteer positions. While we intend to offer merit- and need-based tuition scholarships to highly committed student volunteers, these are discretionary, contingent upon available foundation funding and in best interest of the initiative, and do not constitute a legal salary, wage, or promise of financial compensation. Neither should you expect any financial benefits from your volunteer work, nor are you required to make any financial contributions personally.
Strict Time Limits: We respect your time. Volunteer work will never exceed 5 hours per day and 4 days a week ~ 20 hours/week.
Academic Priority: As we are hiring students, we strictly enforce that your school, exams, and academic commitments come first. We actively coordinate with our volunteers to ensure our initiatives never interfere with their education.
Because we are recruiting young adults (ages 16 to 21), we mandate the following protections:
Due to current logistical constraints and our need to tightly coordinate our pilot operations, we are currently not accepting applications from candidates residing in (or holding domicile of), or attending institutions in (past 6 months), the following areas:
If you have had permanent domicile or continuous residence in these areas for educational purposes (schooling, coaching) within the past 6 months and continue to be a resident of for any purpose, you are not eligible to apply for this specific cohort. We plan to expand to these zones once our foundation is formally registered and local infrastructure is established. We appreciate your understanding.
Please note that if shortlisted, you may be required to present your social profiles (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), public GitHub ID, and Resume (or Portfolio for Fine Arts) following the preliminary Personality Test (Interview). Not having any of the above materials does not directly negatively impact your candidature but is considered a hard proof of your claims and qualifications. Please refrain from inflating facts or faking credentials.
If you have any questions regarding these disclosures, the application criteria, or our data handling practices, or if you wish to formally withdraw your submitted application, please reach out directly to our team:
